Deputy Director, Administration and Resource Management
Mr. Khari Wright

A District of Columbia native, Mr. Khari Wright, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and served as a Supply Clerk in Supply Company, 4th Fleet Service Support Group (1989-1999). After graduating from Morgan State University with a degree in Elementary Education, he accepted a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.

Upon completion of The Basic School, he trained as a communications officer and was subsequently assigned to 7th Communication Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF), where he served as a platoon commander, company executive officer, and Commander of Headquarters Company.

Other staff assignments include Officer Candidate School (2003); Defense Information Systems Agency (2003 – 2007); II MEF, G-6 (2007 – 2010); Marine Forces Reserves, G-6 (2010 – 2013); and Headquarters & Service Battalion, Headquarters Marine Corps, Henderson Hall (2013 – 2018) where he performed as the Headquarters Company Commander, Battalion Operations Officer and Battalion Executive Officer.

Upon retirement, after almost 28 years of service, he accepted employment as a Program Analyst in support of Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration (2018 – 2022). He continues to support the Marine Corps mission as Deputy Director, Administration and Resource Management Division.

He is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Expeditionary Warfare School, Communication Information Systems Officer Course, The Basic School, and Enlisted Supply Basic Course.

He is married to Leila Wright, another DC native, with whom he is raising three children.
